Default Lets all agree that Heros should not steal drops, i.e henchies!

Sign this if you agree, that since we have to spend the moola to equip these guys that we should have axcess to there drops to use as we please. Sign this is you also agree that Heros should have a basic inventory to facilitate this and the storage of multiple weapon sets. Would'nt this be great, once and for all solo farming would be a dead issue in GW. Sign or discuss why not signed.

We don't even know yet if we have to spend money on them. For all we know they might have a selection screen like for the pvp only weapons where you just pick what they use. Wait until we actually learn how it works before starting with the complaining petitions.

very insightful. Im wondering if they will have an all out inventory, or just equipped-only type inventory (like diablo II henchies). If they have their own, that might be even better- although who in the group gets to keep them then? Hmmm... I think I answered my own question.

/signed but only kind-of. Itd be just like solo farming every time you went out... which might be a bad thing really...

I read that they can use items customized to us (ala pc gamer: "collector NPCs (can use anything customized to YOUR character)") -paraphrased, but they do specifically say Collector NPC which brings up a question thats been on my mind for a month now...

Either way, Im not giving my henchies ANYTHING til I know its bug free!! (can you imagine the horror?)

No thanks. I like grouping with people, and I shouldn't be at a disadvantage just because I like to be social and not play an ONLINE MULTIPLAYER game by myself. I think Heroes will be cool, and I can't wait to see how they're implemented exactly though.

As Knightsaber Sith stated, it's too early to know for sure. The fact that you can control them and customize them should be all that's needed to make Heroes a success.

Being able to farm a place with a group of Heroes and getting ALL the drops? Talk about really hurting the online community...

Huh, if we all have access to Heros, how will this hurt the "community."

It will be interesting to see how they do drops, if heros have storage we can access, or anything like that.

I suppose we'll find out soon enough (the preview even should give us our first preview of heros.)

Hmm IDK everyone overfarms stuff, which means getting the extremely expensive stuff will not be HARD anymore... so there are a lot of supplies..
It's call: "when everyone has good stuff to sell, then everyone will lower the prices in order to sell them, and thus, lower the prices of stuff".
That's call economy.

I do not think the player should get them, due to the potential of farm abuse.

I do think they should be customized and useable by the hero if they drop.

Hmmm, Hero Bob, I'll trade you this most excellent Monster Hide for that worthless Smiting Spear of Uberness that you got there!

I still don't get the "farm abuse" argument.

Again, if everyone can do it, how does it hurt anyone?

if we're going to make up reasons why this would be a "bad thing", at least make them rational.

EDIT: Nice one, DeanBB!

But if your Paying for theyre armour and Weapons, then why shouldnt you get theyre drops? the OP is saying if your paying so much to use them, we should get some return back, Or We Get penalised (3 heros, say 20K each to equip, 60K just for the privilage to play with heros)

too early to say imo

I think that if heroes do get to keep their drops, they should actually use the good ones. If they get a green, they'd use it. I'd rather feel I'm getting some benefit out of the thing, even if I can't use it.

Who says we're paying for their armor and weapons? Maybe we can get it through quests, certain stages in the storyline, etc. Also, if having henchmen that are customizable and follow your orders will cost money (a reasonable amount) then I don't see why we would need compensation by getting their drops.

If you want to give them awesome looking weapons that go for 100k+ ecto or get them expensive and high-detailed armor (if either of these are possible)then that's YOUR choice and is not required to make your Hero more effective. The game shouldn't be "paying" you with drops to help you twink out your Hero nor you.

People are just going to complain about anything and everything. They complain for over a year about henchmen AI, and when the game finally seems to come up with a solution they start complaining and worrying about things before it's even released.

Don't really care about drops, but like AJM said, if they get a green or something it'd be good if they used it. I'm more concerned about whether they can come with us to Cantha and Tyria. I'm hoping Tahlkora's a warrior so I can take her back to cantha and get her in the war-thong I'll gladly pay for the armour and an exalted just so she looks good. Maybe a fell depending on how tall she is...

/Unsigned.

The last thing we need is for 100% human parties to experience effectively fewer drops per character than a heroes-slash-henchies team.

Ah, but GloryFox, we don't have to give henchies weapons or upgrade their armor either!

It's funny, people say "don't jump to conclusions" the same time they assume that these Heros weapons and armor will upgrade automatically.

It sounded to me like Heros are just other characters you can have complete control over. Thinking they have storage is a logical conclusion to that.

Anywho, we'll find out in a few days...

Because only people from Nightfall will have acess to heroes. Thus it will be unfair to everybody who doesn't own that game.
